Job Description:

Purpose: Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Retail Supervisor to join the team in our new store based in Newcastle.

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of up to £12.64 per hour + non-contractual, hourly sales commission.

At Deichmann, our Retail Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the store management team and delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers.

This is a part-time, permanent position, contracted for 20 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have energy, drive, and passion for working in a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment.

You should have a positive attitude towards providing excellent customer service, the ability to lead a team, stamina to work on a busy shop floor, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.

Previous retail experience is required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Key activities:

1. Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager.
2. Open & close the store, including cashing up and completing administrative duties.
3. Offer excellent customer service and possess strong product knowledge.
4. Lead by example, recommending and promoting complementary products with each sale.
5. Assist management in leading the team to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
6. Support team members as needed.
7. Ensure proper merchandising, refreshing product displays to attract customers.
8. Manage stock deliveries and store transfers.
9. Handle customer queries and complaints.
