Job summary

Toolstation, part of Travis Perkins plc, is looking for a Property Acquisitions Manager to drive retail store growth across the UK. You will source locations, lead end-to-end acquisitions, evaluate site economics and negotiate terms with landlords and agents.

You will coordinate with internal teams and board-level executives, travel regularly, and maintain an active network of commercial property professionals to secure prime sites for expansion.

Qualifications

• Experience in property acquisitions and lease negotiation.
• Strong network of commercial agents, landlords and developers.
• Proven end-to-end acquisitions lifecycle management.
• Willingness to travel regularly and hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience evaluating occupancy costs (rent, rates, service charges) and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Proactively sourcing and canvassing target areas to identify prime retail sites in the UK.
• Lead the full acquisition journey from site identification to legal completion.
• Prepare and present commercial and financial appraisals to stakeholders.
• Negotiate favorable lease terms and landlord incentives.
• Present business cases to board-level executives for investment sign-off.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, agents and developers.
• Support planning considerations and ensure openings stay on schedule.
