Job summary

Lidl in London is expanding its portfolio with Senior Acquisitions Consultant duties, covering site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites for new stores.

Based at New Battersea Power Station regional office, you will lead planning through to completion, liaising with landlords, authorities, and developers, and spending 3–4 days weekly in office or patch.

Qualifications

  • Self-starting drive and proactive attitude.
  • Degree-level education (minimum 2:2).
  • Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning.
  • MRICS qualification (preferred).
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Sound commercial property and legal knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A highly analytical mind.
  • The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel throughout the UK.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, agents, landlords, tenants, and developers.
  • Drive the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion.
  • Manage real estate assets of our freehold and leasehold properties.
  • Train and develop members of the Property Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion of our portfolio across North London. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle from initial site identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land/sites. You will form an integral part of a professional team leading sites through the planning process to obtain satisfactory consents, supporting the construction phase and ongoing asset management. You will develop relationships with key third parties such as landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers.


You will be based out of our regional property office at New Battersea Power Station and can expect to own the full development and planning processes from concept to completion, which requires exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Building your future brick by brick is highly valued.


You will be expected to spend a minimum of 3 to 4 days a week in the office or in your designated patch.


Internally, this role is referred to as Senior Acquisitions Consultant.

What you'll need
