Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to maintain safety on the shop floor, provide excellent customer service and deter theft. You will be part of a team protecting customers and colleagues while upholding a calm, professional presence.

Role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, with the potential for stable contracted hours and progression within Mitie. Paid lunch breaks are included as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training).
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting).

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deterrence of theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols.
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Work closely with store management teams.
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety onsite.

What You'll Be Doing
