Job summary

Mitie is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people and property on the shop floor. You’ll bring energy, professionalism and a calm presence while deterring theft and maintaining a safe shopping environment.

This role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, paid lunch break, guaranteed hours and full training. You’ll work with store teams and CCTV systems to reduce crime and reassure customers.

• Valid SIA licence required / willingness to complete training.
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carrying out regular store patrols.
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Working closely with store management teams.
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite.
