Job summary

Staffline are looking for a Retail Security Officer in Sunderland City Centre, where no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

Applicants must have an SIA Licence and be aged 18 or over. The role pays £14.35 per hour with various shifts between 8.30am and 8pm, and location in Sunderland. Staffline, in partnership with TSS, offers progression training and a supportive onboarding process.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to deter loss and protect staff.
• Follow company policy on loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Detain or deter potential troublemakers lawfully on site.
• Observe, report incidents using proper systems and documentation.
• Carry out duties as directed by client or on-site manager.
• Keep knowledge of site developments up to date.
• Understand and implement fire and safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches when required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy security base.
• Always present yourself and wear full uniform with SIA licence displayed.

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Sunderland

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour

Hours: Various

Shifts: Various between 8.30am and 8pm

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
