Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor, deter theft and maintain a safe, positive shopping environment.

The role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, paid £13.23 per hour plus a fully paid lunch break, guaranteed contracted hours, and progression opportunities through training and apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
