Lodge Security is seeking a dedicated Retail Security Officer to join our on-site team across the United Kingdom on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be the visible face of safety in a busy retail environment and help protect staff, premises, and stock while delivering excellent customer service.

In this role you will collaborate with store management, de-escalate conflicts, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Licence (Door Supervision or Security Guarding).
• Valid right to work in the UK with a verifiable 5-year history.
• Excellent customer service with a professional appearance.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflicts.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, highly visible deterrent presence on the shop floor to prevent loss and deter theft.
• Apply ASCONE criteria effectively to identify, monitor, and handle shoplifting incidents in line with retail policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting visitors, assisting members of the public, and representing the store professionally.
• Partner closely with store management teams and colleagues to ensure a safe, secure environment for employees and customers.
• Defuse conflict calmly, de-escalating tense situations and responding promptly to store emergencies.
• Follow strict compliance and security protocols, accurately completing incident reports and maintaining complete operational records.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, highly visible deterrent presence on the shop floor to prevent loss and deter theft.
• Apply ASCONE criteria effectively to identify, monitor, and handle shoplifting incidents in line with retail policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting visitors, assisting members of the public, and representing the store professionally.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven right to work in the UK alongside a verifiable 5-year checkable work/education history.
• Excellent customer service skills with a smart, professional appearance and approach.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict management situations effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with solid attention to detail when following procedures and guidelines.

Nice-to-have

• Prior experience in retail security, shop floor guarding, or retail loss prevention.
• Practical familiarity with applying ASCONE principles and managing stock protection techniques.
