Lodge Security is seeking a proactive Retail Security Officer to join our on-site team across the United Kingdom on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be the visible face of safety in busy retail environments, protecting staff, premises and stock while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will apply ASCONE criteria to deter theft and manage incidents, coordinating with store management to maintain a safe shopping experience. A valid SIA license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
• Excellent customer service with a professional appearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly visible deterrent presence on the shop floor to prevent loss and deter theft.
• Apply ASCONE criteria to identify, monitor, and handle shoplifting incidents per policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting visitors and assisting the public.
• Collaborate with store management and colleagues to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
• Defuse conflicts calmly and respond promptly to store emergencies.
• Follow security protocols and complete incident reports with accurate records.

Lodge Security is looking for a dedicated Retail Security Officer to join our on-site team across the United Kingdom on a full-time, permanent basis. In this vital role, you will be the visible face of safety in a busy retail environment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers while actively safeguarding staff, premises, and stock.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, highly visible deterrent presence on the shop floor to prevent loss and deter theft.
• Apply ASCONE criteria effectively to identify, monitor, and handle shoplifting incidents in line with retail policies.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting visitors, assisting members of the public, and representing the store professionally.
• Partner closely with store management teams and colleagues to ensure a safe, secure environment for employees and customers.
• Defuse conflict calmly, de-escalating tense situations and responding promptly to store emergencies.
• Follow strict compliance and security protocols, accurately completing incident reports and maintaining complete operational records.

Required Skills & Experience

• A valid, current SIA Licence ("Door Supervision or Security Guarding").
• Proven right to work in the UK alongside a verifiable 5-year checkable work/education history.
• Excellent customer service skills with a smart, professional appearance and approach.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict management situations effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with solid attention to detail when following procedures and guidelines.

Nice-to-have

• Prior experience in retail security, shop floor guarding, or retail loss prevention.
• Practical familiarity with applying ASCONE principles and managing stock protection techniques.
