Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for a Retail Security Officer in Lydney. The role requires holding an SIA licence and delivering a high standard of customer service and security presence on site.

You will work during the listed shifts with a focus on loss prevention, safety, and compliance with Fire and Safety procedures, while maintaining a professional appearance and reporting incidents as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible uniformed deterrent to protect client premises and staff
• Carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observe and report incidents using correct reporting systems
• Carry out duties assigned by the client or manager
• Ensure site knowledge is up to date and local developments are identified
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required
• Maintain the security base in a clean, tidy condition
• Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects well on you and the Company, with uniform worn and SIA licence visible

Position: Retail Security Officer

Location: Lydney

Pay Rate: £15.30 per hour

Thursday. 14.00. - 22.00

Friday. 13.00. - 22.00

Saturday. 13.00 - 22.00

Sunday. 10.00. - 16.00

Your Time at Work

As a Retail Security Officer your duties include:

• To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
• To carry out Company Policy on loss prevention and ensure the safety of staff and visitors
• To lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• To observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• To carry out all duties assigned by the client or manager to whom you are responsible
• To ensure site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• To understand and implement any Fire and Safety evacuation procedures
• To assist, if required by the Client, with staff and contractor searches
• To ensure that the Security base is always maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• To conduct yourself, at all times, in a manner which will bring credit to yourself and the Company, ensuring full uniform is worn and SIA licence is clearly displayed
