Job summary

BardWood Support Services is hiring a Retail Security Officer in Exeter. You will patrol a well-known retail store, protect staff and customers, and monitor entry and exit points.

After 12 weeks, the role transfers to the client on permanent terms with extensive benefits including SIA license renewal, cycle to work, salary-deducted tech purchases, loans, vouchers, life cover, private medical cover, and pensions.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• A 5-year checkable work/career history is needed.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol retail store premises.
• Monitor entry and exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detection devices.
• Build positive relations with staff and customers while managing crowds.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £15.64

Location – Exeter

Shift Timings – Part Time Weekend work Only

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.


• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.


• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.


• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.


• 5-year checkable work/career history.


• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage


• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.


• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
