Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known Bluewater store. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with weekend flexibility, to keep staff and visitors safe and secure. The offered pay rate is £14.90 per hour.

You will patrol the store, manage entry points, hand out baskets, greet customers, and CCTV/ theft-detection devices. The ideal candidate holds an SIA licence, has a 5-year checkable work history, and can perform under pressure.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence is required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Location – Bluewater

Shift Timings – Full time, 40 hours per week, must be fully flexible and able to work weekends

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
