Mitie Group plc. is looking for a confident Retail Security Officer to protect people and property on the shop floor. You’ll provide a visible security presence, deliver excellent customer service and deter theft while working closely with store teams.

This role offers flexible shifts, paid lunch breaks and comprehensive induction with ongoing training, plus company benefits and progression opportunities.

• SIA licence is required or the candidate is willing to complete training.
• A proven, proactive and customer-focused approach is essential.
• Must have a full 5-year checkable employment or education history for vetting.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deterrence of theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols and monitor CCTV systems.
• Work closely with store management and partner with Police and local networks.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor


• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times


• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences


• Carrying out regular store patrols


• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss


• Working closely with store management teams


• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks


• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)


• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)


• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach
