Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Abingdon, to safeguard staff and customers in a busy retail environment. You will patrol store premises, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and use theft-detecting devices while maintaining calm and professional customer relations.

This role requires an SIA license, a 5-year checkable work history, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £14.05ph

Location – Abingdon

Shift Timings – 45 hours per week - 3 week rolling rota - must be flexible

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
