Job summary
Brewers Decorator Centres in Chester is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Advisor with Driving Duties to join our PaintWell store. You will deliver exceptional service in branch and support local deliveries, helping customers find the right decorating materials.
No specialist product knowledge is required upfront; full training will be provided and you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and staff discounts.
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills to understand and translate needs into recommendations.
- Approachable and friendly personality; able to help customers and colleagues.
- Enjoys teamwork but can work independently when needed.
- Familiar with the Chester area.
- Full clean manual driving licence is essential.
- Keen to learn, develop skills and progress in the industry.
- Retail experience or product knowledge is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service in branch to support Brewers reputation.
- Use product knowledge to recommend the best products for customers.
- Make contactless deliveries in and around the local area using the company van.
- Mix paints for customers, process specialist orders and request stock.
- Build relationships with customers to identify needs and offer comprehensive service.
- Keep warehouse organised and safe in line with company standards.
- Promote seasonal items and merchandise to increase visibility and sales.
- Unload deliveries and distribute stock throughout the store.

Salary - £29,894 per annum plus pension and company benefits
We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Retail Sales Advisor with Driving Duties to join the team at our PaintWell store in Chester. Providing exceptional service to our customers in branch, you will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch running smoothly - experience with our products isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.
Located on Chester Trade Park, our Chester PaintWell store proudly serves local homeowners and trades people with the broadest range of decorating materials - customers will find everything they need in store including trade and designer paints from a wide variety of brands and all of the decorating materials needed to complete their home décor projects. Part of the Brewers Group, PaintWell are dedicated to delivering high quality products and expert advice to all of our customers. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8.00am - 1pm.

- Providing exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service

- Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
- Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
- Keep our warehouse organised and safe, in line with company standards
- Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
- Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
- Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
- Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
- Familiar with the surrounding area
- Full clean manual driving licence
- Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
- Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right person.
