Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centre in Lewes is opening a brand-new Lewes Road store and has a part-time Retail Sales Advisor role to support customers in-store and drive new business in the area.

You will work 20 hours across three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) with a weekly rota, and you'll receive a competitive salary and a generous benefits package, including pension and life assurance.

Full training will be provided to help you succeed in delivering exceptional Brewers service.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable, open and friendly personality.
• Enjoys working in a team but can also work independently.
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
• Retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential; full training will be given.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to deliver Brewers service reputation.
• Use product knowledge to recommend best products for customer needs.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request stock as needed.
• Develop sales of wallpaper, paint and fabric within the store.
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise to increase visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance and distribute stock throughout the store.

We are thrilled to announce that we are due to open a brand-new Brewers Decorator Centre in Lewes Road this summer and we have a very exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Part Time Retail Sales Advisor, to join this new team to provide exceptional service to our customers in store and bring in new business in the area!

Our new Lewes Road store will support our continued development in the South East, as the premier decorating destination for professional decorators and home décor enthusiasts! The store will stock an extensive product range which includes trade and designer paint brands such as Armstead, Crown, Dulux, Farrow & Ball, Little Green, Johnstones, Sadolin as well as our own brand, Albany. Store opening hours will be Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service

• Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
• Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
• Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric
• Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
• Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
• Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch
• Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store
