Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centre in Petersfield is seeking a Senior Retail Sales Advisor. This role involves leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the Branch Manager to run the store smoothly. You will provide product recommendations, handle keyholder duties, and help drive sales.

The position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota, located at Chapel Street, Petersfield. Salary is £29,500 per year plus pension and company benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Branch Manager with developing the branch and the team, deputising in their absence.
• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to uphold Brewers service reputation.
• Have keyholder responsibilities, cashing up and associated supervisory tasks.
• Allocate work to the team, keeping them motivated and driven.
• Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs.
• Plan and agree sales forecasts with the Branch Manager in line with company targets.
• Ensure orders and enquiries are dealt with and followed up promptly.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request stock within the Branch network.
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide a comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal and special items, merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Senior Retail Sales Advisor to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Petersfield, to provide exceptional service to our customers in store. You will play a vital part in keeping the branch running smoothly and efficiently and providing essential support to the Branch Manager - experience with our products isn't strictly necessary, if you are a natural leader and can bring great customer service, sales experience and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.

Conveniently located on Chapel Street, our Petersfield store has been serving local trade and retail customers in the area for almost 40 years. The branch features a vast selection of designer and trade paints as well as a varied collection of wallcoverings and pattern books, curtains and more. Internet terminals in the branch also allow our customers to order products directly into the store. The team have many years industry experience with Brewers so it’s no wonder we have built up a strong customer base and a reputation for being the decorator’s first choice. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Senior Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ideally lives within a close proximity to the store to be able to respond to potential alarm calls out of hours
• An interest in our industry would be advantageous but not essential as product training will be given
