Job summary

City FM in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a major supermarket estate. You’ll maintain CO2 refrigeration systems across multiple stores, with a clear, structured workload and an on-call rota.

The role offers a permanent contract, 40 hours per week, a basic salary of £47,676.66 (inclusive of standby) and an OTE up to £60,000, plus a £2,000 joining bonus. Benefits include 33 days holiday, private healthcare and a matched pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning required.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with CO₂ systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive refrigeration maintenance across retail sites.
• Diagnose faults and recommend repair or replacement.
• Complete PPMs and reactive work during store visits.
• Carry out alterations/installations within competence.
