Hours : Full-Time; 37.5 Per Week

As Retail Operations Manager, you will report to the Head of Retail and be responsible for the smooth and successful running of our retail estate. Youll lead Cluster managers, drive sales performance, champion excellent customer service, and ensure each store reflects our values and mission. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone who thrives on variety and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple charity shops.
  • Lead, motivate, and support cluster managers, staff, and volunteers.
  • Maximise sales and profitability while maintaining the organisations charitable ethos.
  • Analyse performance data and implement strategies for growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all retail, financial, and health & safety procedures.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and stock presentation.
  • Drive the effective processing of donated goods and stock rotation.
  • Build strong community relationships to enhance donations and footfall.
About You
  • Experience managing multi‑site retail operations (charity retail experience is a plus).
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support diverse teams.
  • Commercially minded, with a track record of driving sales and operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a values‑driven environment with volunteers.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and willingness to travel between sites.
