Job summary

RNLI is seeking a Retail Assistant Merchandiser in Poole to support stock intake, planning and replenishment across channels. You will collaborate with the Buying & Merchandising Team to maximise sales, monitor purchase orders, and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.

The role requires strong Excel skills, numeracy, and excellent organisation. You will work closely with suppliers, logistics teams and internal stakeholders to ensure product availability and effective stock flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or within the retail sector.
• Excellent knowledge of using Excel and other Microsoft packages.
• Strong communication and numeracy skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills.
• Ideally a demonstrable understanding of Retail Merchandising and PO Management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Buying & Merchandising Team to maximise sales across Retail Channels.
• Manage stock intake, commitment and inventory levels to support sales and business objectives.
• Assist with stock planning, allocation and replenishment activities across channels and warehouses.
• Monitor and progress purchase orders to ensure timely product availability and effective warehouse planning.
• Support the production of reporting and analysis, identifying opportunities and emerging trends.
• Maintain retail pricing across systems, supporting key events.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers, logistics and internal stakeholders to optimise stock flow.
• Support assortment planning and stock forecasting.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the Retail Merchandise Administrator.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and provide ad hoc support across Merchandising, Buying and Ecommerce.
