Job summary

The Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) seeks a talented Manager to run our latest Donation Centre. You will lead day-to-day operations, recruit and manage volunteers, and build partnerships with local businesses and community groups to promote clothing re-use and recycling.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading large scale shop and donation centres.
  • Ability to recruit and manage volunteers and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day operations of the Donation Centre and shop.
  • Establish links with local businesses, Salvation Army Corps and community volunteers.
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers; organise clothing collection, sorting and upcycling activities.
  • Deliver high-quality donor and customer experience while promoting reuse and recycling.

Due to a rapid development programme, that has witnessed Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) open over 15 new concept Donation Centres over the past year, which have all seen great success, we are looking for a talented, passionate manager to run our latest Donation Centre. Entrepreneurial by nature, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the business. Paid colleagues will assist in the delivery of this service, but you will also need to recruit and maintain a bank of skilled and general volunteers who will be able to collect and sort clothing, repair and up cycle electrical and furniture items, ensuring that we provide a high-quality service to our donors, customers and the community. Virtual GP Service Phone consultations available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days and video consultations from 8am to 10 pm, 7 days a week.

Company Sick Pay This is paid from the end of your probation period and increases during your employment with us.
