Job summary

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations of a large-scale shop and donation centre. You will handle donations, organise collections, and help deliver items to local SATCoL shops, with on-site duties and a hands-on approach.

You will assist in recruiting and training volunteers and staff, respond to customer and head office queries, and help run a repair and reuse service to reduce waste.

As the Assistant Manager you will be supporting the manager in the day to day running of all areas of the business. This will include receiving donations,as well as organising collections from private houses and other locations. All of which will be processed and delivered to local SA shops, sold on the premises or redistributed. We will also be offering a repair and reuse service to the community, which helps divert as many unwanted goods away from landfill where practical.

This is a very 'hands on' role and you willbe expected to respond to queries raised by customers, head office and the team. On a regular basis you will have the responsibility for opening and closing the centreand be involved in the ongoing recruitment and training of volunteers and staff.
