Job summary

Eastlands Venue Services Limited is seeking a Retail / Kiosk Concession Supervisor for Etihad Stadium. The role leads a designated kiosk or small operation on matchdays and events, ensuring guest service, food quality and standards are maintained.

You will work closely with the Section Manager and Culinary teams, supporting Kiosk Operators and ensuring a safe, efficient and enjoyable fan experience with hands-on leadership and a focus on food safety and customer service.

Compensation: £13.90 / hour

Description

As a Retail / Concessions Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a designated retail kiosk or small operational area during matchdays and events, ensuring excellent guest service, food quality and operational standards are consistently delivered.

Working closely with the Section Manager and Culinary teams, you will provide hands-on support to Kiosk Operators, ensuring your team is organised, motivated and prepared to deliver a safe, efficient and enjoyable fan experience.

This is a hands-on operational role where you'll lead by example, support your team throughout service and help maintain the highest standards of food safety, compliance and customer service.

Shift Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and support Kiosk Operators throughout each event.
• Deliver pre-event team briefings and communicate key operational information.
• Allocate duties and ensure team members understand their responsibilities.
• Lead by example, promoting high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Provide coaching and support to team members during service.
• Escalate performance or conduct concerns to the Section Manager where appropriate.

Guest Experience

• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive fan experience.
• Ensure guests are served quickly, accurately and professionally.
• Support the resolution of customer queries or complaints, escalating where necessary.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional environment throughout service.

Food & Operational Standards

• Ensure food and beverages are prepared and served to company standards.
• Monitor product quality, presentation and availability throughout the event.
• Support stock replenishment to minimise downtime.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow all food safety, health & safety and licensing procedures.
• Ensure cleaning schedules and due diligence checks are completed.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Promote safe working practices within the team.

Communication & Teamwork

• Maintain regular communication with the Section Manager and Culinary teams.
• Report operational issues or stock shortages promptly.
• Support colleagues across neighbouring kiosks where operationally required.
• Contribute ideas to improve service and operational efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

• Previous experience within hospitality, retail or food service.
• Experience supervising or supporting a small team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
• Good understanding of food safety and health & safety practices.
• Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and event days.

Desirable

• Experience working within a stadium, arena or high-volume events environment.
• Experience using EPOS or similar till systems.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience training or mentoring colleagues.
