Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Senior Project Estimator to support Project Management and Sales, delivering accurate estimates and pricing while ensuring excellent customer service. The role suits a seasoned Estimator with shopfitting/construction exposure and a drive for career progression.

The position offers hybrid working (2 days from home), a salary of £30,000-£45,000 depending on experience, and an annual bonus scheme. Monday to Friday hours and a supportive environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Mathematics.
• At least 2 years' experience within shopfitting, construction or a similar industry.
• Experience in estimating, sales support or customer service.
• Joinery industry experience would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of estimating, costing and pricing processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for Project Managers, Sales Teams and Site Teams regarding pricing and estimating.
• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for customer enquiries.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure quotations are completed within agreed timescales.
• Produce Bills of Materials from drawings and Excel spreadsheets.
• Call off equipment from technical drawings.
• Discuss quotations and final accounts with clients and QS, providing additional information as required.
• Maintain and update customer schedules of rates and pricing information.
• Prepare and issue final accounts accurately and on time.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value within budget.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
