Job summary

bp retail is seeking a Customer service assistant to join our store team and Wild Bean Café. You will learn on the job with online and in-store training, helping customers with their needs and delivering friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role welcomes applicants from 16+, offers flexible hours and career progression, plus benefits such as staff discounts, holiday pay and wellbeing programmes. A welcoming, collaborative team culture awaits.

Qualifications

• People with a passion for customer service and working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• No prior retail experience required; training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills for the role.

Responsibilities

• Safety first for yourself, colleagues and customers per bp policies.
• Serve customers efficiently and meet their needs promptly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment in line with bp beliefs.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks from Wild Bean Café.
• Take deliveries, replenish stock and manage stock tasks.
• Support bp offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme.
• Carry out cleaning duties in store, facilities and forecourt.

What we are looking for

Individuals with a passion for customer service and who are energised by working together as a collaborative team within a fast-paced retail environment. We don't expect all who apply to have previous retail experience, as you will be provided with online and on the job training to support you to develop the skills and capabilities you will need to perform your role at bp.

What you will be responsible for

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Serving customers efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, in line with bp beliefs
• Preparing and serving food and drink items from our Wild Bean Café
• Taking in deliveries, replenishing stock and stock management tasks
• Being proactive with supporting bp's offers, promotions and bp loyalty scheme
• Carrying out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store, facilities, and forecourt
