Lloyds Banking Group in Halifax is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for the Retail Cost Centre of Excellence on a 12‑month fixed term contract. This hybrid role combines leadership of a finance team with delivering high‑quality financial insight, planning and performance information for Retail.

You’ll report to the Head of Finance, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive cost transformation while supporting decision‑making across Retail.

Qualifications

• A recognised accountancy qualification or equivalent finance experience.
• Forecasting: proficient in financial planning and forecasting to support decisions.
• Experience in leading, motivating and developing teams.
• Strong communication and presentation of complex information.
• Problem solving and driving issues to resolution.
• Collaboration and cross‑Finance teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing team, creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can contribute, challenge and grow.
• Deliver high‑quality financial insight and MI, supporting month end and planning cycles with robust controls and effective review.
• Turn financial information into actionable insight, helping Finance Business Partners understand performance, challenge assumptions and make better decisions.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, collaborating across Finance while providing constructive challenge to deliver the right outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement and Finance transformation, simplifying and standardising processes, strengthening controls and embedding new ways of working across people, processes, data and reporting.
