Arcus FM Limited is hiring three part‑time In Store Cleaners at Sainsbury's Burnham-On-Crouch, permanent roles at an hourly rate of £12.71. We offer 18, 14 and 12 hour weekly patterns with early mornings, afternoons and weekends, plus overtime opportunities.

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; you’ll complete daily cleaning tasks to high standards, operate routine shop-cleaning duties, and access our Arcus Connect App via NFC on a smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks to maintain high standards in Sainsbury's stores.

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company, and we are looking to recruit three part time In Store Cleaners based in Sainsbury's Burnham-On-Crouch store on a permanent basis, allwith an hourly rate of £12.71.

New store opening September 2026.

Sainsbury’s stores are open 7 days a week and here at Arcus we offer various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. Our shift patterns consist of early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts with weekend work. The current shift pattern for this role is:

18 hours per week

• Sunday: 07:30 to 11:00
• Monday: 06:00 to 09:30
• Tuesday: Day off
• Wednesday: 06:00 to 09:30
• Thursday: 06:00 to 09:30
• Friday: Day off
• Saturday: 06:00 to 10:00

14 hours per week

• Sunday: 12:00 to 15:00
• Monday: Day off
• Tuesday: 06:00 to 09:30
• Wednesday: 06:00 to 10:00
• Thursday: Day off
• Friday: 06:00 to 09:30
• Saturday: Day off

12 hours per week

• Sunday: Day off
• Monday: 16:00 to 18:00
• Tuesday: 16:00 to 18:00
• Wednesday: 16:00 to 18:00
• Thursday: 16:00 to 18:00
• Friday: 16:00 to 18:00
• Saturday: 16:00 to 18:00

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

Arcus cleaners take pride in keeping Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for its customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our Sainsburys stores. Tasks will consist of but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to ensure stores are kept clean.
• At times you could be in-store cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or even oven canopies
• At other times you could be working outside keeping trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied

Arcus will support you through full training

What will you need?

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied

An eye for detail and cleanliness

A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service

Please note that you will need to provide a smartphone that has NFC capability to access our Arcus Connect App that we use for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of your employment with us.
