Job description

Job Title: In-store Cleaners at Sainsbury's Barnstaple

Overview: Keep Sainsbury’s clean and enjoy working in a customer-focused environment. Join Arcus as a vital part of our team, with two part-time positions available: one fixed-term and one permanent.

1. Fixed-term Contract: 15 hours/week, £11.44/hour, immediate start.
2. Permanent: 25 hours/week, £11.44/hour, immediate start.

Sainsbury’s stores operate 7 days a week. We offer various shift patterns including early morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with weekend work.

Shift Patterns:

• Fixed-term Contract: Sundays 08:00-10:30; Mondays and Tuesdays 06:00-08:30; Thursdays and Fridays 06:00-08:30; Saturdays 06:00-08:30; Wednesdays off.
• Permanent: Sundays off; Monday to Friday 05:30-09:30; Saturday 05:30-10:30.

Opportunities for overtime hours are available. Arcus cleaners are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in our stores, including tasks such as:

• Operating cleaning machinery
• Thorough cleaning activities: mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping
• Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies
• Outside cleaning of trolley bays, leaves, debris
• Following health and safety procedures

We support your training and development. Requirements include:

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
• Positive attitude towards cleaning and customer service
• Smartphone with access to Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance (mandatory)
