Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset is recruiting for a Band 3 Retail Outlets role at RBH. You will lead retail restaurant teams, ensure top service, and support a new catering food court rollout planned for mid-2027. The role requires training staff, maintaining hygiene standards and managing daily tasks across outlets.

Salary £25,760–£27,476 per annum, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends. Applicants with NHS catering experience and supervisory skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 4-9 (A*-C) in any subject.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in catering.
• Experience in NHS environment.
• Previous supervisory experience of staff (+1 year).
• Experience in restaurant/catering roles.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, Allergens and Health & Safety policies.
• LV2 Food Safety and Allergens training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of retail restaurant outlets.
• Train new starters and provide refresher training.
• Maintain high hygiene and cleaning standards across outlets.
• Manage freshness, date coding and stock replenishment.
• Monitor allergen controls in line with policies.
• Plan, record and complete daily tasks; assist during peak periods.
