Job description

Retail Assistant - Part Time, 8 hours.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Roker, Sunderland. We offer a permanent part-time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Pay & benefits:

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

As one of our retail assistants, you will:

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and greeting.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help with packing, and leaving a positive impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock carefully during deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and shelves for customers.
• Work with your team to complete daily routines that keep our shops safe, clean, and tidy.

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, and hard-working approach.
• Enjoy being busy, with tasks ranging from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping on the shop floor, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliability, as you will be an important part of a small team.
• Flexibility with shifts, as sometimes you may need to work slightly different hours to cover for team members on holiday. Rota planning is done three weeks in advance, considering your outside commitments.
