Job summary

Farmfoods are recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for our Spennymoor shop. The role is 43 hours across 5 days per week, usually including weekends, with a salary of £31,449 - £35,306 per annum. Benefits include 30 days holiday, 15% staff discount, uniform, life cover and a pension.

You will work with the shop manager to lead a small team, deliver excellent customer service, manage costs and support recruitment and staff development. A DBS check may be required for the advertised position.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Willingness to be flexible with shifts including weekends.
• DBS/Disclosure check may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Develop and coach your team of retail assistants through mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the manager and ensure smooth operations, deliveries, safety and cleanliness.
• Motivate and guide the team to control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Assist with recruitment and induction of new team members.
