Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager on a full-time, 43-hour week. You will work 5 days including weekends, supporting the shop manager to run an efficient store and deliver great customer service.

You will coach and develop a team of retail assistants, manage costs, and assist with recruitment and onboarding. The role offers competitive pay and a benefits package including 6 weeks holiday and a 15% staff discount.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Willing to work 43 hours across 5 days including weekends.
• Trustworthy and reliable as you will be part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for developing your team through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
