Guild Care is Worthing’s leading social care charity with vibrant charity shops. As a Retail Assistant you will support day-to-day shop operations, ensure friendly customer service, handle stock and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.

Your role helps fund essential services for older people and those living with dementia, with a welcoming, inclusive team culture and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Have time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate teamwork and ability to work flexibly.
• Experience with stock taking and cash handling is welcome.

Guild Care are seeking Retail Assistants to support the day-to-day running of vibrant, fast-paced, busy charity shops in Worthing. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your retail skills. Guild Care is Worthing’s leading social care charity, and our wonderful charity shops play a vital role in supporting the services we provide to older people, those living with dementia, and children and adults with learning disabilities. With17 shops across West Sussex, we’re at the heart of the community – offering a wide range of quality second-hand goods, all while raising funds for our essential services.

Required Criteria

• Ability to undertake reasonable lifting duties
• Post Holder must be literate and numerate
• Flexible attitude to work
• Demonstrate good customer service skills
• Ability to provide a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check
