Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Retail Assistant for our busy unit at Catterick ICC, Catterick Garrison, DL9 4EU. You will deliver friendly, attentive service, process payments and keep shelves tidy.

This new site offers training, shift patterns with 25-30 hours per week, an 8:00am–6:00pm window, and opportunities for overtime. You’ll benefit from free meals on duty, free on-site parking and access to our benefits platform.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required; full training provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are desirable.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and process payments accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner.
• Keep shelves fully stocked and displays attractive.
• Receive deliveries and assist with stock management.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish products as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy retail environment.
• Follow food safety, health & safety and company standards at all times.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for the retail unit.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Retail Assistant to join our team at Catterick ICC, Catterick Garrison, DL9 4EU. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused individual to become part of a busy retail operation, helping to deliver excellent service while supporting the day-to-day running of the retail unit.

Please note that as this is a new site, shift patterns may change to meet business needs and overtime opportunities may be available.

What you'll be doing

• Serving customers and processing payments accurately
• Delivering excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner
• Keeping shelves fully stocked and ensuring displays remain attractive and well presented
• Receiving deliveries and assisting with stock management
• Monitoring stock levels and replenishing products as required
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy retail environment
• Following food safety, health & safety, and company standards at all times
• Supporting with opening and closing procedures for the retail unit
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Qualifications

About you

• Previous retail or customer service experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally independently
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, organised, and flexible approach to work
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards

Additional Information

• Applicants must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK
• Successful candidates will be required to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
