Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Retail Assistant at Claro Barracks, Ripon. You'll be the friendly face of our retail unit, delivering great service to customers and handling everyday duties.

This part-time role is permanent, 25 hours per week with a rolling 3-week rota and one weekend in 3. Shift patterns include early, middle, and late shifts.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the UK and residency for the past 3 years.
• DBS checks required and able to pass security vetting.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

• Receive deliveries and manage stock levels.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy workspace.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Location: Claro Barracks, Chatham Road, Ripon, HG4 2RD
Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (Over 21s)
Contract type: Permanent, part-time, 25 hours per week, 3 week rolling rota, 1 weekend in 3 (Sat & Sun 10.00 – 14.00)
Shift patterns: Earlies 07.45 – 1200, Middles 10.15 – 15.30, Lates 15.15 – 20.30

What you’ll do:

What we’re looking for:

• You’ve lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work here
• Able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
• Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not essential – we’ll provide full training
• Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own
• Must be flexible in all aspects of working rosters (including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays).
