Job summary

ASDA is seeking an Asset Construction Manager for Scotland & Northern Ireland, based in Perth with a 36-hour week. The role covers Scotland, Northern Ireland and North of England, delivering retail asset projects, car parks and store enhancements, leading on implementation, changes and cost control within the region.

You will lead an external design team through design and site meetings to ensure scope meets cost, programme and quality in line with ASDA Model Specification, providing feedback

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering a varied range of retail asset projects, Car Parks and Store Enhancement projects, by taking a leading role in the implementation, change and cost control of the projects within the region.
• Lead an external Design Team through design meetings and site meetings to ensure the scope is delivered to cost, programme and quality within store enhancements and standalone asset projects in line with the ASDA Model Specification, giving feedback on possible improvements.
• Develop programme & chasing to minimise disruption and impact to operations, and identify, mitigate, monitor and control risks within the project scope.
• Manage project costs and adhere to all financial processes and controls.
• Deliver and ensure client duties are under CDM, manage CDM regulations and compliance with ASDA Ways of Working to meet legal construction regulations and permits.
• Work with City FM to align across all work areas and ensure work is in line with the ASDA model specification.
• Highlight and develop new innovative construction initiatives to improve lifecycle costing and EDLC.
• Engage key stakeholders to land business opportunities/initiatives and present projects for scheme approval to the Senior Leadership team.
