Sodexo at HM Naval Base, Portsmouth is hiring a Retail and Cafes Assistant to keep the on-site store running smoothly. If you're starting out or bringing retail experience, we'd love to hear from you.

The role is customer-facing, with shifts across early to late, paid £12.71 per hour for 22 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. On-site benefits include parking, discounts, and training to grow with Sodexo.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or over to sell restricted items.
• Retail experience welcomed; full training provided.
• Sales awareness to support store performance and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a friendly, professional approach.
• Operate tills and handle transactions efficiently.
• Manage stock, including deliveries, restocking, and rotation.

• Maintain store cleanliness and uphold hygiene standards.
• Verify ID for restricted items to ensure responsible retailing.
