Job description

We are looking for a new Resuscitation Officer to join our team here at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

The post holder will be expected to work with a minimum of supervision and to co-ordinate their activities in order to support the Lead Resuscitation Officer(s) in ensuring that an efficient resuscitation service is provided to the Trust. This will include managing their own workload, time, clinical and divisional responsibilities.

Duties
  • Plan, organise and implement resuscitation training for all staff within the Trust; assist the Lead Resuscitation Officer(s) in the development of policies, procedures and equipment specifications relating to resuscitation.
  • Adhere to local Trust policies, professional standards and Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.
  • Participate in the audit of resuscitation attempts, equipment and ReSPECT orders.
  • Carry a cardiac arrest bleep and attend patients in peri‑arrest and arrest situations.
