Cooper Parry is seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join our Birmingham team, working alongside managers and partners on diverse audits and accounts prep. You will contribute to high-quality deliverables, plan work efficiently, and develop technical expertise within a collaborative, ambitious culture.

The role focuses on complex client work, adherence to deadlines, and ongoing professional growth within a supportive environment that values learning, accountability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent.
• Experience working in a practice environment with large and listed businesses or a mixed portfolio.
• Experience planning and completing audits as well as accounts preparation.
• Experience using an analytical review process.
• Experience in delegating and reviewing work of trainees within the team.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and contribute to the team objectives.
• Manage a number of priorities to deliver high quality results.
• Proactively follow up on review points raised by the manager and complete them promptly.
• Plan and organise to ensure client work is carried out within timescales with updates to the manager.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure audit procedures are conducted to required standards.
• Seek guidance from colleagues and managers when needed.
• Problem solve audit issues and adapt to client expectations.
• Develop professionally by engaging with managers and partners.

Our Audit team are on the lookout for a keen and ambitious Audit Semi Senior.

About the day to day...

As an audit Semi Senior, you'll be working with our large and complex team alongside our Assistant managers and Managers, getting stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;

• Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and contribute to help the team as a whole to meet its objectives and ensure client demands are exceeded
• Manage a number of priorities to deliver high quality results
• Proactively follow up on review points raised by the manager and completing them in a timely manner
• Plan and organise effectively to ensure all client work is carried out within the appropriate timescales set by the manager and providing regular updates to the manager without being prompted
• Provide technical expertise to ensure audit procedures performed are conducted to correct standard and accounts preparation is accurate
• Be confident to seek guidance and support from colleagues and managers when required
• Have the ability to problem solve to clear audit issues and be flexible to meet manager and client expectations
• Manage your feedback and development, seek support from your line manager, and be open and honest
