About the team

The team advises insolvency practitioners, corporates, boards of directors, lenders, investors and business purchasers in respect of all issues that can arise as a result of financial pressure and distress. The team has a national reach working with clients throughout the country as well as those in the Birmingham region. The team in Birmingham is led by Partner and National Head of Restructuring, John Jeffreys. John specialises in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency and has advised a wide range of stakeholders for over 20 years. About the role

We are seeking a Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (ideally in the range of 1 to 3 years PQE) to join our friendly and dynamic team based in our impressive and modern Birmingham office in the heart of Birmingham’s business centre. The team works with the wider national restructuring practice on complex restructuring and non-contentious corporate insolvency mandates.

The nature of the work is fast paced, and our clients’ interests are paramount so the applicant should possess and demonstrate an enthusiasm, energy and passion for this area of practice and have exceptionally strong communication skills and work well in a team. Applicants should have had exposure to restructuring and non-contentious insolvency work either during their training or after qualification, including insolvency advisory work, distressed business and asset sales and finance and security matters.
