Job summary

Interlink Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded global law firm for an Associate to join its London Restructuring & Insolvency team. This role suits a lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE handling a broad mix of advisory, transactional and contentious work across domestic and cross-border matters.

You will work closely with partners and senior associates, develop client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice while gaining exposure to complex restructuring

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years' PQE in restructuring and insolvency.
• Strong understanding of finance and security documentation.
• Experience drafting and negotiating sale agreements or similar documents.
• Clear, commercially focused advisory and contentious skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise creditors, directors, insolvency practitioners and investors.
• Assist on restructuring strategies and insolvency procedures.

Job description

A highly regarded global law firm is seeking an Associate to join its London Restructuring & Insolvency team. This is an opportunity for a lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE to handle a broad mix of advisory, transactional and contentious work across domestic and cross-border matters.

The role offers exposure to complex restructuring and insolvency situations, working closely with partners and senior associates, alongside opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Advise creditors, businesses, directors, insolvency practitioners, investors and public bodies
• Advise on and implement restructuring strategies and insolvency procedures
• Support insolvency appointments and contingency planning
• Handle pre-pack transactions and other administration business sales, including funding arrangements
• Review security documentation and advise on enforcement
• Advise on insolvency disputes, officeholder claims and court applications
• Provide clear, commercially focused advice on complex matters
• Contribute to business development, training and internal knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ PQE specialising in restructuring and insolvency
• Strong understanding of finance and security documentation
• Experience drafting and negotiating sale agreements or similar transaction documents
• Understanding of English civil litigation procedures
• Experience preparing Insolvency Act applications and supporting evidence
• Strong client handling skills and commercial awareness
• Excellent academic background
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working with colleagues internationally
• Varied advisory, transactional and contentious work
• Exposure to complex domestic and cross-border matters
