The opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive team player to join the restructuring team within Zurich Legacy Solutions (“ZLS”). The ideal candidate will be engaging, calm under pressure, and comfortable expressing their views while promoting ZLS’s high ethical standards.
ZLS is a global function responsible for managing capital across Zurich Group’s Business Units (“BUs”) by handling legacy portfolios through long-term reinsurance solutions or legal transfer. The team is mainly based in the UK and US, supporting BUs worldwide.
ZLS reports directly to the Head of Group Treasury and the Group CFO and is a market leader in legacy disposals globally.
The role involves supporting the commercial transaction lead in identifying and executing exit strategies that maximize shareholder value, achieve finality, and recycle capital back to Zurich Group. It also includes ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining service levels during portfolio exit preparations.
Ideal candidates will have experience in selling or acquiring insurance/reinsurance companies or portfolios, with a strong technical background in underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance, and legal.
