About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director, Financial Services M&A Advisory to join a dynamic and growing advisory team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advising clients and executing strategic transactions, with a particular focus on mid-market Wealth and Insurance markets.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and executing M&A transactions from initial analysis and due diligence through to deal structuring, negotiation, and closing. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive market knowledge, financial expertise, and stakeholder management skills to navigate complex transactions successfully.

Responsibilities

• Drive M&A strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Identify and assess potential M&A opportunities within the Financial Services sector.
• Develop and manage relationships with key industry stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and advisors.
• Conduct financial analysis, market research, and due diligence to evaluate potential acquisitions or sales.
• Structure and negotiate deals that align with strategic and financial goals.
• Collaborate with legal and financial teams to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
• Lead discussions and negotiations with target companies to secure favorable terms.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of M&A activities.
• Utilize internal expertise in debt advisory, financial diligence, value creation, and post-merger integration to enhance deal execution.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in professional services or a related field.
• 5+ years of direct experience leading Financial Services M&A transactions.
• Proven track record in end-to-end deal execution, including closed deal experience.
• Expertise in sell-side transactions within the Wealth and Insurance sectors.
• Strong experience engaging with senior client executives and target management teams.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage team members.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Experience developing client pitches and contributing to business development efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
