Job Description

We are looking for a Turnaround and Restructuring Intelligence Associate Director who will support our Turnaround and Restructuring, Pensions and Debt & Capital Advisory teams by providing high‑quality research and analysis for pitches, proposals and new business generation. The role requires strong experience in restructuring, investment banking or credit analysis and the ability to collaborate with senior leaders and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and high‑quality analysis for pitches, proposals and the generation of new work, while identifying and acting on commercial opportunities, overseeing thought leadership, maintaining sector knowledge management and raising the profile of the team both internally and externally.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the restructuring and debt & capital markets and their intermediaries, and integrate opportunity generation, knowledge management and business development with sector analysts, marketing and business development colleagues.
• Liaise with sector and market intelligence team members to deliver a comprehensive picture of internal experience, external market conditions and their impact on sectors using research tools, AI and automation to accelerate delivery, quality and depth of analysis.
• Help the team win new business through value‑added research.
• Work closely with the Turnaround and Restructuring and Sector Intelligence teams, influencing Partners, Directors and peers to achieve strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with senior fee‑earners to develop a proactive, sector‑driven go‑to‑market strategy, demonstrating strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience in restructuring, investment banking, or credit analysis, or within a specialist data provider in this market such as Debtwire or Octus.
• Strong analytical skills in interpreting financial data.
• Excellent commercial awareness.

Desired Skills

• Experience with debt market research databases such as Octus, Debtwire or 9Fin and financial research tools such as CapIQ, Bureau Van Dijk or Mergermarket.
• Experience using AI and automation tools.
• Tenacity, resilience and a capability to drive projects through to completion.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
