Job summary

Christ Church Academy in Stone, Staffordshire, invites applications for an Inclusion Support Officer to work with our pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams. This role is 34 hours per week, term time only, with a pro rata salary of £21,748 - £23,958 and an ASAP commencement date.

You will support pupils with behaviour or wellbeing barriers, help reintegrate into lessons, and manage the Reset Room using restorative approaches; liaising with parents and external agencies as needed.

• Experience working with children or young people in pastoral, behaviour or educational settings.
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Calm, resilient and consistent in supporting pupils through challenging situations.
• Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for every child.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with behaviour or wellbeing barriers and help them reflect on choices and develop strategies for success.
• Work with pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams to promote reintegration into lessons.
• Provide support in the Reset Room, offering a structured environment for regulation, reflection and learning.
• Use restorative practices to teach expectations, repair relationships, and positively return pupils to learning.
• Liaise regularly with parents and external agencies, maintaining accurate records.
• Contribute to strategies that improve behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing.
• Promote excellent attendance: support pupils and families to overcome barriers, meet parents in attendance clinics, conduct home visits and welfare checks.
• Work with external agencies to ensure pupils receive support for regular attendance.
• Attend additional duties such as First Aid training or as an approved minibus driver if required.
