Job summary
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in Carlisle area is seeking a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to provide expert consultant-led care and to participate in postgraduate teaching, quality improvement, and research activities.
The post offers opportunities to tailor the role around interests (e.g., periodontics, implants, endodontics) with strong links to regional partners and a flexible job plan. Closing date 14 August 2026.
Qualifications
- Full GMC/GDC registration and specialist status required.
- Substantial Restorative Dentistry experience essential.
- Experience with head and neck cancer patients desirable.
- Ability to lead MDT clinics and contribute to teaching.
- Experience in audit and clinical governance encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-led expert care and referrals for local patients.
- Collaborate with Orthodontic and OMFS teams for joint care.
- Run outpatient clinics delivering high-quality patient throughput.
- Support Head and Neck MDT and related services across departments.
- Delegate care to dental care professionals as needed.
