Historic & Classic Vehicles Alliance Limited, based in Bicester, seeks a Restoration Technician to join a team famed for authentic craftsmanship on Aston Martins and Jaguars. You will carefully disassemble, restore and reassemble classic vehicles, working across mechanical, electrical and interior trim with precision.
Collaborating with fabrication, paint, upholstery and engineering teams, you will ensure every car leaves the workshop to exacting standards.

Are you passionate about classic cars and committed to exceptional craftsmanship ? Currently working on iconic Aston Martins and Jaguars ? This is an opportunity to work on some of the world's most iconic vehicles, restoring them to the highest standards alongside a team of dedicated specialists in our workshop known for our uncompromising commitment to quality. As a Restoration Technician, you will play a vital role in the complete restoration process, carefully disassembling, restoring, and reassembling classic vehicles. You'll work on mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and attention to detail, ensuring every vehicle leaves our workshop in outstanding condition.
Vehicle Disassembly & Inspection: Carefully dismantle vehicles, documenting, labelling, and assessing individual components for restoration, refurbishment, or replacement.
Mechanical Restoration: Restore and rebuild suspension components and systems, braking systems, and associated mechanical components to OEM or enhanced specifications.
Chassis & Body Preparation: Assist with the preparation, alignment, and fitting of body panels and chassis components, ensuring excellent fit, finish, and structural integrity.
Electrical Systems: Diagnose, repair, and install vehicle electrical systems, ensuring the reliable operation of lighting, instrumentation, and any modern electrical upgrades.
Testing & Fault Finding: Carry out thorough mechanical and electrical testing, diagnosing and resolving faults before final assembly.
Interior & Trim Installation: Restore and refit dashboards, carpets, seats, and interior trim to an exceptional standard, maintaining authenticity and quality throughout.
Teamwork: Work closely with our fabrication, paint, upholstery, and engineering teams to deliver outstanding restoration projects from start to finish.
Quality Assurance: Conduct final inspections, road testing, and adjustments to ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop to our exacting standards.
Health & Safety: Follow workshop health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment.
We're looking for someone with a passion for craftsmanship and classic vehicles, alongside the following:
Previous experience as a Restoration Technician or in a similar role within the classic, prestige, or specialist automotive sector.
Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, and interior trim fitting.
Experience working on classic or heritage vehicles is important.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and restoration specifications is desirable, but not essential.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing work of the highest quality.
A proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team with the opportunity to grow.
Full UK driving licence.
