Job summary

Historic & Classic Vehicles Alliance Limited, based in Bicester, seeks a Restoration Technician to join a team famed for authentic craftsmanship on Aston Martins and Jaguars. You will carefully disassemble, restore and reassemble classic vehicles, working across mechanical, electrical and interior trim with precision.

Collaborating with fabrication, paint, upholstery and engineering teams, you will ensure every car leaves the workshop to exacting standards.

Qualifications

• Experience restoring classic or heritage vehicles.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and restoration specifications is desirable, but not essential.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles, document components, and assess for restoration or replacement.
• Restore and rebuild suspension, braking and related mechanical systems to OEM or enhanced specs.
• Prepare, align and fit body panels and chassis components for precise finish.
• Diagnose, repair and install electrical systems, ensuring reliability of lighting and instrumentation.
• Conduct thorough testing and fault-finding prior to final assembly.
• Restore and refit dashboards, carpets, seats and interior trim to high standards.
• Collaborate with fabrication, paint, upholstery and engineering teams to complete restorations.
• Perform final inspections and road testing to meet exacting standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe workshop.
