Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Restoration Surveyor for Midlands or Southern England. You will handle restoration projects for commercial and domestic properties damaged by water, flood, or fire. You may work solo or in a team, producing technical reports, diagnosing defects, and overseeing drying processes.

Strong communication, empathy, and composure under pressure are essential to earn trust with policyholders and contractors. Sedgwick offers training, growth, and a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Driving licence: Full UK driving licence essential.
• Accreditation: Preferably BDMA/Dewpoint accredited Building Surveyor.
• Insurance knowledge: Desirable, as well as restoration/repair of water and fire damaged properties.
• Building construction knowledge: Preferably extensive knowledge of building construction and relevant legislation.
• Project planning: Able to plan projects to ensure robust control of time, cost and quality.
• Team collaboration: Comfortable working as part of a team focused on driving change and innovating.

Responsibilities

• Technical reporting on restoration projects.
• Defects diagnosis and assessment.
• Managing the drying process for property damage".
• Collaboration with restoration network to find best solutions for claims.
• Managing workload and making decisions under pressure.
