Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort is hiring a Food & Beverage Assistant. The role involves evening shifts and weekend work, providing attentive service and using your knowledge of our menus to enhance guest experiences. You will support across resort outlets to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

Previous bar/restaurant experience is preferred, but training is provided. A friendly, proactive, and sales‑minded attitude helps you thrive in our welcoming team at The Belfry.

The Ryder Restaurant evening team brings a dynamic, vibrant energy to dinner service in the Ryder Restaurant. Delivering attentive service, this team transforms each meal into a memorable experience. With a focus on atmosphere and guest satisfaction, this team ensures The Belfry’s commitment to excellence shines through long after the sun sets.

About the role

This role will require late nights in the week and weekend working.

·As a food and beverage assistant, your duties include all those of a waiter

·To welcome all guests a polite and friendly manner

·To deliver a great experience from beginning to end

·To confidently talk about our menus

·To take orders from our guests and proactively ensure that all their needs are met

·Cleaning and good hygiene practices are a large part of this role

·To work across any of the outlets that are in need of assistance to ensure the smooth running of the resort as a whole.

About you

Previous experience in a busy bar or restaurant would be preferred, but you don’t need experience to start your career with us at The Belfry Hotel and Resort. We have a great team that will train you give you all of the skills you need to be successful. If you do have previous experience that’s great, we will take your skills and elevate them in a department where you feel you would be the best fit.
